The Olympic Torch Relay for the Paris Olympics 2024 started its epic journey in Olympia (Greece) on 16 June 2024. After nine days of relay in Greece, the Olympic Torch sailed across the Mediterranean Sea to France, arriving on 8 May 2024.
After traversing France’s enchanting landscapes, picturesque villages, and vibrant cities, the Olympic Torch will be in Paris, the French capital, on 14 July (France’s National Day) and 15 July before ending her journey on 26 July for the Opening Ceremony and the lighting of the Olympic cauldron. 26 July (Olympics’ Opening Ceremony)
On this final day, the Olympic torch will cover Seine-Saint-Denis and Paris. The exact itinerary with times is not known yet. Still, the torch will cross the canals between Seine-Saint-Denis and Paris, visiting the Olympic Village and passing near Olympic venues and cultural sites like the Saint-Denis Abbey, the Olympic Aquatics Centre, the Stade de France, and the Parc de la Villette. Finally, it will reach the Seine River for the much-awaited Opening Ceremony.
