If you are looking for something unique with an interesting history behind, Hotel Les Bains is the place for you. Located in Paris 3rd Arrondissement, Les Bains Douches was  in 1885 a renowned public bathhouse proposing different and exotic treatments. In 1978 the establishment turned into a hedonistic nightclub with guests like Andy Warhol, Yves Saint Laurence, Mick Jagger, just to name a few. Finally, in 2011 the building turned into a hotel with a fancy design which pays tribute to its vibrant past.

The building has a powerful aura, a mix of glamour and raw spirit. The grandeur of the Haussmann architecture is enhanced by glorious marble bathrooms, wood paneling and antique furniture. Don’t miss its common spaces with tasteful reminiscences of its legendary past. The former bathhouse’s 15m water tank, for example, is today a private diner room.

Hotel les Bains’ en-suite rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated with furniture and soft fabrics inspired in its famous guests. Some of them have small private terraces or balconies. The hotel gives special attention to the bathrooms, welcoming spaces dressed with nice marbles and decoration.

The hotel’s name and lobby decoration may look cheesy but Hotel Montmartre Mon Amour is a very cool option for a week end “à deux”. With a perfect location in the heart of Montmartre (Paris 18), we love the hotel’s contemporary design with all kind of comfort for the modern guest.

The hotel’s rooms are unique, each of them dedicated to a famous French couple of the XIXth and XXth century. Colors, furniture and lightning are inspired by the host characters. We like their modern design with straight lines, the combination of colors, the inspiring messages on the walls and their cute “tête à tête” divans. In Hotel Montmartre Mon Amour love is in the air!

Haha I love quirky and unique stays. So much that I started a new site especially to jot those down. Absolutely love the Leonardo da vinci theme and the sexy dreams boutique stay. These would be my go-to spots next time I visit Paris 🙂

These are all incredible, I agree that an accommodation experience goes so much further than a plain old cookie cutter hotel stay – Five Boutique Hotel Paris caught my eye as I was reading through! Would love to snuggle up in one of their cozy rooms for some sexy dreams!!

Great post! I wish I could find information like this about every city I am planning to visit. Staying in a one-of-a-kind accommodations makes the whole experience so much more memorable. My top pick from your list would be Hotel Les Bains for a funny reason. From the photo, the columns, ceiling, and walls look like they are made of luxurious chocolate. I am crazy about any chocolaty concoction so I wouldn’t miss this opportunity if I get a chance to visit Paris. Incidentally, my least favorite is Hotel Thoumieux. Even a two Michelin star restaurant wouldn’t convince me to stay in a room that those patterns on the walls and the floor. I got a headache just from looking at them in the picture 😉
