Christmas in Disneyland Paris is a season full of wonders and lasts for nearly two months! To enjoy the magic of Christmas at Disneyland Paris, the Disneyland Paris Christmas 2023 dates go from 11 November 2023 to 7 January 2024. The opening times during the Disneyland Paris Christmas season are from 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. in both parks, with the Magic Hour (for the Disney Hotels guests) starting at 8:30 a.m.

The Disneyland Paris Christmas season is considered a high season. To learn the best days to visit Disneyland to avoid the bigger crowds, check out our Disneyland Paris crowd calendar.

Disneyland Paris at Christmas time gets very crowded with its Christmas-themed attractions, shows, and parades. Generally, earlier in the season is better than closer to Christmas Day, and during weekdays you will find fewer crowds than on weekends.

Christmas Day at Disneyland Paris is usually the most crowded day.

When deciding the best time to take your Disneyland Paris Christmas trip, you should also consider that many French families plan to visit Disneyland Paris during the school holidays in France, from 23 December 2023 to 8 January 2024 this school year.

Disneyland Paris at Christmas Time – Things to Do

If all of that sounds ideal for your next Disneyland Paris Christmas holidays, then here’s a list of the best things to do in Disneyland Paris Christmas 2023.

1. Disneyland Paris Christmas Market (Disney Village)

There are so many things you can do in Disneyland Paris at Christmas time that it will be hard to choose! One of the best is to visit the Disneyland Paris Christmas Market, located at Disney Village.

You’ll find the Disney Village between the theme parks and the Disney Hotels, just out of the train station.

During Christmas, the Disney Village is festively decorated and turned into a cozy Christmas Market with wooden stalls where you can buy food, Christmas sweets, and souvenirs.

To visit the Christmas Market Disneyland Paris, you won’t need to buy tickets to Disneyland Paris Parks, which is why the Disneyland Paris Christmas Market is usually very popular with locals at Christmas time.

2. Disneyland Park

Disneyland Park is divided into five themed lands: Main Street USA, Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland, and Discoveryland. Everywhere there are beloved Disney characters who you can meet during the meet-and-greet. You’ll also find many roller coasters in all shapes and sizes at Disneyland Park.

At Christmas, Disneyland Park becomes a winter wonderland with many decorations, the spectacular Christmas tree in Town Square, and the Disney Characters dressed for the season.

Venture into Disneyland Park, watch the snowflakes fall on Main Street USA, and follow the Christmas lights until you reach the Sleeping Beauty Castle. Have fun on the rides, for children and adults (check out this list of the best rides). And when it’s time to eat, go to one of the many restaurants, cafés, and bars to enjoy the Disneyland Paris Christmas food and drinks!

3. Walt Disney Studios

The Walt Disney Studios is the incredible park of Disneyland Paris, where the worlds of Disney, Pixar, and MARVEL come alive. There are so many fantastic adventures for children and grown-ups at Walt Disney Studios, from the Toy Story Playland to the Finding Nemo area, where you’ll find the Crush’s Coaster attraction.

The Disneyland Paris Christmas season is an excellent time to visit Walt Disney Studios Park for the beautiful decorations all around the park. The Disney Pixar and Marvel characters all dressed for the magical season create an enchanting atmosphere that you’ll love!

However, Walt Disney Studios doesn’t have special shows during Christmas. If you want to visit Walt Disney Studios, we suggest purchasing a combined ticket for the two parks, so you can also enjoy the Disneyland Paris Christmas parades and other Christmas activities in Disneyland Park.

4. Disneyland Paris Christmas Events

Day Parade – Christmas at Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris at Christmas time gets filled with events and Christmas-themed entertainment. One of the biggest events is Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade: five gigantic floats featuring Mickey & Friends, Disney Princesses, Santa Claus & Tinker Bell, and more character parade each day inside Disneyland Park.

Here’s the schedule of the different shows during the Disneyland Paris Christmas season:

  • Disney Stars On Parade: 12: 55 p.m.
  • Mickey and his Sparkling Christmas Parade: 4:35 p.m. and 6:15 p.m.
  • Disney D-Light 10 minutes before dreams
  • Disney Dreams Christmas Party when the park closes

These times are from the last year, but they shouldn’t change for 2023-2024. You can follow eventual updates on your Disney app.

Night Parade – Christmas at Disneyland Paris

Another not-to-be-missed event during Christmas in Disneyland Paris is the moment of the day when the giant Christmas tree in Town Square lights up by the Disney characters. This happens around 7 pm.

To get into the Christmas spirit, stop by the musical show “Let’s Sing Christmas!” where Mickey and the other beloved Disney characters take the stage and sing some Christmas carols several times a day: 11:40 a.m., 2:10 p.m., 3:10 p.m., and 4:10 p.m. Let’s Sing Christmas show is located at the Hyperion Café (next to the Buzz Lightyear attraction), in Disneyland Park.

5. Disneyland New Year’s Party

The holiday celebrations at Disneyland Paris don’t stop at Christmas. The Disneyland New Year’s Eve party is a unique event that will make your visit unforgettable! That day, the Disneyland Paris park will be open until 1:00 a.m.

At midnight, the sky behind Sleeping Beauty’s castle lights up with dazzling fireworks in the presence of all the Disney Characters dressed up for the special occasion. There will be other special activities too.

Dining at Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris Parks offer many options when it comes to food and dining! During summer, you can have a picnic in the park; however, it’s too cold to do it in winter. So it’s essential to know the different dining options and to book your favorites well in advance.

Inside the parks, you’ll find table-service restaurants, all-you-can-eat buffets, quick-service restaurants, and snack bars.

Table service and all-you-can-eat restaurants are very popular, and you should reserve your table in advance. All the restaurants in Disneyland Paris are Disney-themed, and during the holidays, special Disneyland Paris Christmas food can be found everywhere: winter velouté, stuffed poultry with chestnuts and cranberries, hot chocolate, and more.

The easiest way to book a table in one of the Disneyland Paris restaurants is to download the official Disneyland Paris app and make the reservation with a click. Alternatively, you can contact Disneyland Paris customer service, or once you arrive, through the reception desk at your Disney Hotel or the restaurant directly.

There are dining options outside the parks as well, inside the Disney Village. One of our favorites is Rainforest Café: you’ll feel immersed in the Amazon forest, surrounded by lush nature and animated animals. At Rainforest Café, you can choose between the classics of American cuisine and modern proposals that will delight the whole family.

Extend the Magic in one of the Disneyland Paris Hotels

Disneyland Hotel - Paris

For a unique Christmas Experience, consider booking one of the Disneyland Paris hotels. It’s a great decision if you want to enjoy all the magic of Christmas in Disneyland Paris and the Disney night shows until the very last minute or if you want to visit Disneyland Park and the Walt Disney Studios, which we highly recommend.

Each hotel has leisure facilities, such as pools, fitness centers, and spas, with a corner designed to entertain kids. And you can also find the Disneyland Paris Christmas decorations in the hotels.
