Why a Paris Card?

If you’re planning a trip to Paris and plan on visiting many of the local Paris tourist attractions, a Paris tourist pass is well worth considering. With a Paris city card, you will save yourself both time and money, because you won’t need to bother with lining up for tickets at the various attractions and these passes generally work out cheaper than purchasing individual attraction tickets.

But there are quite a few different Paris card options, so which is the best Paris city pass?  Well, that really depends on what attractions you’d like to see and how many days you have in Paris.  To help you decide which is the best Paris tourist pass for your upcoming trip, we’ve put together this Paris Pass comparison guide.

NB: Please note that none of the Paris Passes include tickets to the Eiffel Tower, you will need to purchase these tickets separately. However, even without the Eiffel Tower tickets, these all-inclusive passes are still well worth considering.

Can I visit the Louvre Museum when I want with this Paris Tourist Cards?

Due to the new entrance policy of the Louvre Museum, all the holders of Paris Passes which include the entrance to the Louvre need to book the date and the time for the entrance online. This reservation is free.
In the confirmation e-mail, you will receive a PDF with all the information about how to book your Louvre Museum entrance.

Is there any Paris Tourist Pass free for kids?

The Paris Museum Pass is free for kids under 18. The rest of the passes are cheaper for kids.

The Paris City Pass covers all the tourist hot spots like entry to the Louvre Museum and a cruise on the Seine River.  It also provides you with Paris an airport transfer and a metro card so you can easily get around Paris.

Duration

A great benefit of the Paris City Pass is there is no restriction on how long you must use the pass. Many other Paris tourist cards are only valid for 24 hours or 48 hours etc, but with the Paris City Pass, take as long as you like to visit the attractions.

Paris Museum Pass

For the Paris Museum Pass, you can elect to choose either a 2 day, 4-day or 6-day pass. The pass is valid on consecutive days.

4. Now whenever you go to one of the included museums or attractions, simply skip the ticket line and show your pass on entry.

5. The Pass Museum Pass is valid on consecutive days and it is activated when you first start to use it at one of the participating museums or monuments. For example, if you purchase the 2-day Paris Museum Pass, the past will be valid for the next 48 hours after the first activation.

For those who want to see it all while in Paris, the best Paris tourist pass is the Paris Pass. With this visit Paris pass you get everything thanks to the combination of three cards:

  • the Paris Pass Attractions (Paris skip-the-line pass to all the most popular tourist attractions and more),
  • the Paris Museum Pass (the Paris pass museum card described above)
  • the Paris Visite Card (Paris transport pass) to explore the different Arrondissements of Paris

Paris PassLib’

Paris Pass Lib

The Paris PassLib’ is a composite product sold by the Paris Tourist office. It is very similar to the Paris Pass mentioned above, being the price the main difference between the two Paris visit cards. This Paris tourist card includes all the very best tourist attractions and museums in Paris as well as a Paris travel pass so you can get to all the sites with ease.

 

Duration

For the Paris PassLib’ you can elect to choose either a 2 day, 3-day or 5-day pass. Not much promoted, but The Paris Pass’lib is also available for just one day, this “mini” version just includes the hop-on tour bus and a Seine River cruise. But at 40 € for one adult, it is 20% more expensive than the Combo bus tour + Seine cruise offered by Paris City Vision.

Paris Night Pass

For those who want to enjoy Paris at night, the Paris Night Pass is the ideal pass. This pass includes a range of nighttime activities such a Parisian Cabaret, the famous double-decker Hop-on, Hop-off bus, and a Seine River cruise with Bateaux Parisiens. Minimum age to purchase this pass is 18 years.

 

Duration

This is a one day and one-night pass, but the activities can be done over two different days.

 

What’s included?

How does it work?

1. Choose the option which interests you most. Purchase your pass online.

2. You will be sent a voucher by email.

3. Upon arrival in Paris, take your email confirmation to “38 Store” located at 38, avenue de la Bourdonnais, and it will be exchanged for your pass.

4. Just show your pass when you arrive at the cabaret, river cruise, and bus tour.
