Paris Travel Planning

Are you feeling overwhelmed planning your trip to Paris?

Do you have an itinerary that you’d like some feedback on?

Want to bounce around ideas and talk to a local?

Let me help! 🙂

In addition to the information on this site and our Facebook community, I am also available for private travel consultations. These one-to-one meetings are the perfect opportunity for you to receive tailored advice about your upcoming trip—especially if it’s your first time visiting France.

Do you already know you want to book? Simply request a suitable appointment on my calendar. This will be at a time in your time zone.

World in Paris helped us with our recent trip to Paris and it made our trip so much more special! I love following them to learn more about France and start planning future trips!

I really enjoy reading the huge variety of posts – and I have found the info very useful. It had opened up so many places that I had not bothered with before.

Such a shame about Brexit – I hope it won’t make driving round a FRANCE more difficult.

  • I can’t help with questions about the Paris Olympics and Paralympics (travel restrictions, special passes, etc.). All the information I know about the Olympics is here.
  • Recommendations for Airbnb’s or apartments.
  • I can’t help you with dietary restrictions.
  • I am not a travel agent. I will help you decide and smooth over your decision-making process, but I don’t make reservations on your behalf nor accept any responsibility for any changes to your bookings. So, you will need to make any transportation, activities, and lodging reservations for your trip.

Paris Travel Consultation How it Works

1. Select a time in the online calendar below. The time slots shown on the calendar are in your time zone.

Be sure to include any important information, such as:

  • Dates of travel
  • Where will you be traveling from?
  • How many people and what ages (roughly)?
  • Is the trip a special occasion? ( graduation, anniversary, honeymoon, etc…)
  • What are your likes and interests?
  • What is your travel style – ie. Budget, mid-range, luxury
  • Anything else that’s relevant that I should know

2. The booking engine will take you to the payment page. Payment is by credit card.

3. Once the payment is processed, I will email you to confirm your appointment as soon as possible. This email also contains the Google Meet link ready to use during your call.

4. We will talk via Google Meet at the arranged time. Please ensure you have a stable internet connection and that you have granted Google Meet access to your microphone before our session.

5. If you haven’t really started planning, we can craft an itinerary together that you will book yourself. If you already have a rough itinerary, I will provide feedback, and we can adjust /modify it together if necessary.

6. After the consultation, I will send you an email summarizing the key points discussed and confirming any other steps you may need to take. This can include links for hotels, tours & activities, restaurants, and anything else we discussed.

Their information was invaluable for me when I was visiting and the strikes started. Extremely responsive to questions and updating information regularly. Thank you!

Though I can’t guarantee I’ll know all of the answers, I am an expert in Paris travel (I live in Paris all year round!) and have broad general knowledge.

Why Use Me?

My name is Elisa. I am a French travel writer and founder of World in Paris and France Bucket List. I also have a very active Facebook Group about France travel planning and inspiration.

I live in Paris all year round, and I share my best findings, cultural events, and top tips in this blog and its weekly newsletter.

In addition to my love for France and travel (I have visited 80+ countries and counting!), I like photography, history, and architecture. I also love French wine and am studying to become a French Wine Ambassador. I have the last exams in October, so wish me good luck!

My favorite neighborhoods are the Latin Quarter, Ile-de-la-Cité, and the less touristy side of Montmartre. The Louvre is my favorite museum in Paris (I visit at least once a year), and Château de Versailles is my favorite attraction in the Ile-de-France region. I also go to Disneyland Paris every year alone, with friends, or family.

In my previous life, I worked as an architect and in project management and planning. With my local knowledge and planning skills, I hope I can help you plan your trip!

If these times do not suit you, please email us at bonjour [at] worldinparis [dot] com requesting an alternative time.
