Best Montmartre Restaurants – French Food

» Chez Prout | Mid-range – 14, rue Muller 75018 Paris. This is one of the best restaurants near Sacré-Coeur, with a very nice setting and decor.

The food is very good – fish, meat, and some vegetarian options – and the dishes to share are very interesting, everything paired with a good choice of wines. But keep some room for the desserts, they are excellent! A special mention should be given to their Paris-Brest.

» Fric Frac Montmartre | Budget – 4 rue des Trois Frères 75018 Paris. Fric Frac Montmartre is an original restaurant with a very friendly welcome proposing croques-monsieur with revisited recipes and made with quality products. On the menu, there are vegan options too. Don’t leave this place without trying the draft beer from the Parisian micro-brewery BAPBAP.

» Le Fusain | Mid-range – 3, rue Durantin 75018 Paris. This is one of the locals’ favorites, where regulars like to meet. The cuisine is creative, with interesting proposals depending on arrivals and always with the same desire to sublimate the product without distorting it. This is the perfect place to spend a good time with family or friends that never disappoints.

» L’Éte en Pente Douce | Mid-range – 8, rue Paul-Albert 75018 Paris. This pretty Parisian bistro is one of our favorite places to eat in Montmartre, especially in summertime when we can enjoy its colorful terrace. Here, you are having lunch or dinner near Sacré Coeur but far from the tourists, it smells like holidays!. The cuisine is varied and good, proposing salads, fish, pasta, and quiches.

» Chez Plumeau| Mid-range – 4 place du Calvaire, Paris, 75018. This is the most touristy restaurant on the list but the setting is so unique that we cannot help it! If you are looking for a romantic dinner in Montmartre, central but far from the crowds, Chez Plumeau’s beautiful terrace is perfect. The dishes are simple, good, and hearty, but nothing extraordinary. It’s all about location.

» Le Bon Bock | Mid-range – 2, rue Dancourt 75018 Paris. This small and atypical family restaurant proposes good and hearty dishes in a (stuck in time) Parisian setting that allows guests to imagine the lively evenings of the last century at the bottom of the “Butte”. The cuisine is traditional, with mains of fish, meat and also with vegetarian options. Their onion soup deserves special mention.

Best Restaurants in Montmartre – Other Cuisines

» Le Sourire de Saigon | Mid-range – 54 rue du Mont Cenis 75018 Paris. This Montmartre restaurant is a bit far from the main tourist sights but it is so beautiful and romantic that we cannot forget it on this list.

Le Sourire de Saigon is a wonderfully good restaurant with refined and delicious Asian cuisine with an owner and staff very welcoming and always smiling. The monkfish in the Saigon style, with sticky rice (a must!), is always our favorite. The restaurant opens only in the evening (7 pm – 11 pm) and we recommend booking in advance.

» Terrass Restaurant | High – 12, rue Joseph de Maistre 75018 Paris. If you are looking for Montmartre restaurants with a view, head to Terrass Restaurant. This nice and modern restaurant on the top floor of a hotel is the perfect combination of good food and exceptional views. Everything is à la carte, with starters like foie gras, salmon or gambas, and mains with fish or meat. The wines we chose were very good. Terrass Restaurant’s Sunday brunch is very popular too, especially on sunny days.

» La Locanda di Pulcinella | Mid-range – 17 rue Damrémont, 75018. When we want to have good pizza, Montmartre is the place to go for us. La Locanda is split into two small, different spaces: Italian restaurant and pizzeria and both are very good! The pizzeria proposes the classics but also some proposals out of the ordinary to please all guests. We recommend their original desserts: the last time we tried a baba au rhum with limoncello cream that was delicious!

So there you have it, some of the best restaurants Montmartre has to offer! Now all you need to do is decide which restaurants you will try on your trip to Paris (but we suggest doing them all!).
