World In Paris

Paris Planning Challenge DAY 4 – YOUR PARIS BUCKET LIST

Welcome to Day 4!

During the last 3 days we did the hard job and now it’s time to have some fun and think about what you are going to do in Paris. It is time to write your Paris Bucket List.

In Paris, there are so many cool things to see & do that choosing what do in a few days can be overwhelming! We will try to help you with that.

» In our opinion, a good Bucket List for Paris first-time travelers combines some of the main sights with lesser-known activities.

» It does not include more than 3-4 things to visit per day and it has some space for improvisation.

» It allows time to relax or to do just nothing (i.g. a longer lunch in a nice bistro, coffee + people watching in a Parisian cafe, etc)

» It is a good idea to combine different kinds of activities: historical sights, arts, food & wine tours, nice meals and perhaps a night show.

» Try to combine indoor activities with outdoor activities (parks, walks . .), to enjoy the city and get some fresh air.

» It is a good idea to have in mind a couple of “back up” indoor activities, in case the weather is very bad.

» If your stay in Paris is longer than 3 full days, consider a side trip to explore Paris’ surroundings.

Important Things to Consider for your Paris Bucket List

» Paris top sights are beautiful but usually come with long waiting lines. Click here to learn how to avoid the crowds in the main Paris tourist attractions.

» With the Paris Museum Pass, you can avoid the lines to visit the most touristy sites in Paris. The Paris Museum Pass is a great option for serious Paris sightseers who want to save time and money. You can read our Paris Museum Pass Review here.

» If you want to visit only a few tourist places but you still hate the idea of wasting your time waiting in line, you can buy specific Paris skip the line tickets or tours. We recommend buying Skip the Line Eiffel Tower tickets and Skip the Line Louvre Tickets online. Also, Catacombs Skip the Line Tickets are worth the investment.

» Sights like Versailles Palace and Gardens need a full day to get the most out of it.

Today’s task

» Let’s write your Paris Check List! If you need some help, you can download our First Trip to Paris Checklist, with our suggestions.

» For the main tourist sites like the Eiffel Tower or Arc de Triomphe, choose the best day and the best time slot for each of them using the graphics in our Skip the Lines in Paris post.

» We recommend visiting a maximum of 1-2 main tourist sites a day. Complete your days with more relaxing activities.
