There are many ways to save money in Paris. One of the easiest ways to spend less on your trip to Paris is to travel on the first weekend of the month, as there are many free museums in Paris on the first Sunday of the month.
There are many free museums in Paris on the first Sunday every month, but a certain number of museums – usually the most famous – are only free to visit during the low season. Unfortunately, the concept of “low season” varies from one museum to another: from October to March, from November to March, or from November to May! The lists below will clarify that.
Without further ado, here’s the list of the free museums in Paris on the first Sunday of the month, with something for every traveller. The list also includes a (non-exhaustive) list of the best free museums in Ile-de-France on the first Sunday of the month.
